Kaylee Chavers is an artist who practices printmaking and photography.
Relationships and memories are the subconscious core of most of my work. Even when the original intent of a piece doesn't center on a relationship, as I work on the piece or collection of photos, I find myself relating the piece to someone and the emotions that come with those recollections. Memories of looking at high-performance cars with my dad, collecting found objects with my childhood best friend, my childhood fascination with fish, stages of hard truths, and loving devotion follow me in the printmaking studio, and when I look through my viewfinder.
